What local community journalism attracts and is relevant for 25-35-year-olds? In 2018 a special test editorial staff at Borås Tidning studied the answers to the question.

In addition to Borås Tidning and Medier & demokrati, RISE Interactive and Södertörn University participated in the unique research and innovation project. The test editorial staff worked independently in relation to Borås Tidning's remaining staff. On the other hand, BT's Editor in Chief Stefan Eklund was the responsible issuer for Beta Borås.

The project's economic scope was roughly SEK 3.5 million, of which 2.1 million were financed externally. Region Västra Götaland's arts committee contributed 1.2 million and Carl-Olof and Jenz Hamrins Foundation provided SEK 950,000.

Other financing was provided from the four project partners.

The results of the project are presented in a conclusive report and during two seminars - at Södertörn University and at Borås Tidning - in December 2018.
